Deadly Ever After

Running Home Release

TODAY’S BREW: Hot coffee. Still. It does not matter how hot it is when the flames of Hell created you.

By Julie

Soooooo, shit happens in publishing all the time.

Books of the Dead Press has a lot on their plate right now with a book a week coming out, and this makes for a schedule that is difficult to adhere to.

Long story short, Running Home will be delayed a bit in its release. There’s nothing wrong with the book, nothing wrong with me, or the contract or anything like that. Just shit happens occasionally.

You may wonder if this pisses me off. Sure. Sure it does. But this is what I remember:

MY BOOK IS GETTING PUBLISHED AND WILL BE ON A SHELF AND THAT IS ALL I EVER WANTED AND WHO THE HELL AM I TO GET PISSY ABOUT IT? DREAM COME TRUE STUFF HERE.

As soon as I know the new release date….which will not be long, trust me. I’m not that easy going…you will all know.

  1. As you say, dearie, it’s happening. The waiting is the hardest part, and all that, but this just means fewer days/weeks between releases when you put out the second one. Sit tight.

  2. Sorry! My fault. The Bell Witch is gumming up the monkeyworks! Hopefully, it’ll be out of the way soon! : )

  3. JOHN STOP THAT RIGHT NOW. The schedule was too demanding to keep up with. That is the problem, not the works of the authors before me.

  4. Doesn’t make it any less brilliant. And the rest of us will just have to salivate more whilst we wait for it. Can you live with that guilt? Eh, can ya?

  5. You make me swoon a little when you say stuff like that.

  6. As you say, Jules. It can’t be helped. Roy is a very busy guy, and he looks after his authors, as you know. He runs a tight ship, and sometimes it squeaks. Nothing a little oil won’t cure, lol. I’m so looking forward to the release date, Jules!
And John – hahaha! I’m waiting for The Bell Witch too! But first, it’s Little Deaths for me tonight!

  7. I’m just thrilled that it is being released.

Time: If I didn’t have to work full-time, my second novel would be done by now…

So what do you think?
